The Let Down is a play on words, referencing both the natural bodily act of milk release from the breast and the shortcomings in supporting mothers postpartum. Housed in a reimagined milk shop within a utopian post-natal hospital ward, this group exhibition explores the unfiltered realities of early motherhood featuring artworks that tackle a range of interlocked topics such as infant feeding choices, mental health, body image, hygiene & sexuality, technology in modern breastfeeding, and the social expectations placed on mothers.
